The boring but important page

Privacy notice

In plain English: what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to delete it. We treat your data like we'd want ours treated.

Last updated: June 2026

Work Collaborative is the non-profit arm of Education Leaders, operated by Education Leaders Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 15244037). Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. This notice covers workcollaborative.com and the services run from it. It is written to comply with the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

Our open-source commitment

Work Collaborative exists to share knowledge, not to gate it. Our research, frameworks and resources are free to read, adapt and share. When you go to open a paper we may ask for your name and email so we can let you know when we publish more. This is always an optional ask, never a requirement: there is always a way to read the work without giving us anything, and you only see the ask once. If you do choose to share your details, they are handled exactly as set out below.

What we collect, and when

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

Who sees your data

The list is short, deliberately:

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not enrich it with third-party sources. No-one else gets access without your specific consent, except where we are legally required to share it.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us to:

Email hi@shaneleaning.com with what you want and we will act on it within 30 days (usually within 48 hours). If we get it wrong, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.

Cookies and tracking

We do not set cookies for analytics, ads or fingerprinting, and we do not use Google Analytics. Forms and embedded services you choose to use (Kit, Microsoft Forms) may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

International transfers

Kit is US-based. Transfers to the US use Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR. Microsoft processes form data under its own data protection terms.

Changes to this notice

If we change anything material, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and email current subscribers before the change takes effect.
